Metal roof over the old shingles
Worn asphalt shingles covered with a standing metal roof on strapping, with new ridge, valley and edge trim.
About this project
The shingles were worn out. We repaired the problem spots, installed strapping over the old roof, fastened metal panels with matching ridge, valley and edge trim and flashed the chimney and vents. Metal sheds snow well and lasts far longer than asphalt.
