A bare concrete patio under a covered porch turned into a composite pool deck with picture-frame borders, herringbone inlays and LED lighting.
About this project
Under the covered porch there was only a concrete pad. We framed a low-profile deck over it, laid composite boards with picture-frame borders and herringbone inlays around the equipment hatches, mitred every corner where boards meet the stone columns and kept the drainage channel clear of the deck edge. LED strips along the steps, the outdoor kitchen and the pool edge make the space usable after dark.
